The Value in Tipping: An investigation of The Factors Indonesian
People Use to Determine Gratuity and How It Also Effect Loyalty on
Casual Dining Restaurant in Jakarta, Indonesia
This research was conducted to investigate the factors that motivates Indonesian people use to determine
gratuity (tipping) and how it also effect loyalty on casual-dining Restaurant in Jakarta. This study was
mainly assessed and reviewed the literature of tipping behavior in the US & Europe and will be compared
in Asia especially in Indonesia. The result of the research from secondary data is used for primary
research conducted in December 2020. About 309 of research data were collected in questionnaires
created via Google Form and analyzed with SPSS.
