PENGARUH WORK-LIFE BALANCE TERHADAP EMPLOYEE
ENGAGEMENT KARYAWAN DI SWISS-BELHOTEL BOGOR
This research is driven by the importance of work-life balance in enhancing
employee engagement in the workplace. The study aims to analyze the impact of
work-life balance on employee engagement at Swiss-Belhotel Bogor. A quantitative
approach with a survey method was used. Questionnaires were distributed to SwissBelhotel
Bogor employees to measure their perceptions of work-life balance and
employee engagement. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical
techniques. The findings indicate that in the work-life balance variable, the statement
"I have non-excessive job demands with an ideal duration" had the lowest mean score
of 3.73, categorized as "Balanced." Conversely, the statement "I feel engaged in my
work every day" had the highest mean score of 4.33, categorized as "Highly Balanced."
For the employee engagement variable, the statement "I feel enthusiastic throughout
the workday" had the lowest mean score of 4.00, categorized as "Moderately Engaged,"
while the statement "I always strive to give my best in every task assigned" had the
highest mean score of 4.53, categorized as "Highly Engaged." The coefficient of
determination test showed that work-life balance has a 44.5% influence on employee
engagement (R² = 0.445). The simple linear regression test indicated that an
improvement in work-life balance can enhance employee engagement. Overall, this
study demonstrates that work-life balance has a positive and significant impact on
employee engagement.
